On August 22, 2019, YAST and Kunming Zhongjian Cultural Tourism Investment Co., Ltd. signed an investment promotion cooperation agreement to jointly promote the “Yunnan Bio-medicine and Health, Cultural Tourism Industry Town” project. Hou Shuqian, President of the YAST, Gao Jun, Deputy Director General of the Department of Science and Technology of Yunnan Province, Xu Jian, Vice President of the YAST, Li Jian, Director of Yunnan Asia-Pacific Demonstration Electronic Port Network Operation Center, and Wang Hong, General Manager of Kunming Zhongjian Cultural Tourism Investment Co., Ltd. attended the ceremony.

According to the agreement, the two sides will focus on the decision-making deployment of “Three Green Brands” of world-class green energy, green food and healthy lifestyle destinations around the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee of the CPC and the People's Government of Yunnan Province to promote Yunnan’s health industry. The bio-medicine and health and cultural tourism industry is the starting point, supported by project construction and demonstration and transformation of achievements, while striving for strong support from the state and local governments. It will attract social capital investment to ensure the smooth progress of the project and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

The Department will implement the supporting policies and support the landing projects in the construction of scientific research platforms, the introduction of high-end talents, the transformation of results and industrialization.

It is reported that Yunnan Bio-medicine and Health, Cultural Tourism Industry Town is designed by Kunming Zhongjian Cultural Tourism Investment Co., Ltd., located in Anana Village, Lufeng County, Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is close to Dinosaur Valley and close to Kunming. The project uses the mature “Pingding Mountain Model” to promote mobile multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment through the Internet + medical health, transforming the treatment center into a health center, and build a healthy industrial town to form a health industry that can be replicated and profitable. The sustainable health demonstration base will be gradually extended to the whole province to realize the “Western Mode” of creating micro-medicine, and to create a bio-medicine tourism and health destination with distinctive Internet + medical health, old-age health and leisure recreation. The initial investment is nearly 2 billion yuan.
