The annual meeting of the Yunnan New Materials Standardization Technical Committee was successfully held in Kunming on July 23^rd, 2019. Leaders of the YAST, the National Nonferrous Metals Standardization Committee, Yunnan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and Yunnan Provincial Standardization Technical Committee attended the meeting. At the meeting, President Hou Shuqian of the YAST and President Lin Ruhai of China Nonferrous Metals Techno-Economic Research Institute signed a strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of each side. All members of the Yunnan Provincial Standardization Technical Committee witnessed the signing of the agreement. President Lin Ruhai gave a speech on how to enhance the competitiveness and influence of Yunnan's non-ferrous metal industry. Ma Cunzhen, Secretary General of the National Nonferrous Metals Standardization Technical Committee, gave a speech on how to build new materials standard systems in Yunnan Province. President Hou Shuqian fully affirmed the effectiveness of the work of the committee for the past year, and addressed the importance of cooperation with China Nonferrous Metals Techno-Economic Research Institute and the prospects for cooperation.

The cooperation between YAST and the Institute will make full use of the advantages of YAST in the field of industrial informationization in Yunnan Province and the Institute in the field of non-ferrous metals at home and abroad, as well as technical advantages in intellectual property research, providing targeted technical consulting services, strategic planning and research services to relevant units in Yunnan Province, enhancing the competitiveness, influence and leading role of Yunnan Province in the non-ferrous metals industry. The new materials standardization system of Yunnan Province supports the transformation and upgrading of the development of non-ferrous metal industry in Yunnan Province.

The signing of the cooperation agreement between the two parties will enable the development of new materials standardization in Yunnan Province to be guided and assisted by the National Nonferrous Metals Standardization Technical Committee, so that relevant new materials enterprises in Yunnan Province will receive comprehensive technical support in standard development and patent research, and are expected to jointly make breakthroughs in the international standardization process of tin and tin alloys, precious metals, rare earths and other new materials.

After the signing of the agreement, Li Zijian, Deputy Director of the Patent Center of the Institute of Nonferrous Metals Technology and Economics, introduced the patent research. On behalf of the Secretariat, the Deputy Director of the New Material Standardization Technical Committee of Yunnan Province, Mr. Xu Fushun, made a 2018 work summary and report on the use of working funds. All the members had no objection to the report and passed the review. The meeting was successfully concluded.
