In order to deeply excavate and develop Yunnan's biological resources and promote the development and utilization of industrial hemp, relying on new agriculture, covering agriculture, industry, biotechnology and other industrial chains, to realize the modernization, marketization and internationalization of related industries in the field of hemp development and utilization in Yunnan, on April 18^th, President Hou Shuqian on behalf of the the YAST and Gu Jingteng, Chairman of Hong Kong Juzhang International Holdings Co., Ltd. and Yunnan Juzhang Biotechnology Co., Ltd. signed an investment promotion cooperation agreement in science and technology for industrial hemp planting base and R&D platform project.

At the signing ceremony, President Hou Shuqian said that YAST will assist Juzhang Biotechnology in integrating and coordinating the scientific and technological resources of domestic and foreign scientific research institutes, universities, and enterprises with the long-term mechanism of  " science and technology into Yunnan". The two sides complemented each others’ advantages and will jointly build industrial hemp planting bases and R&D platforms to further promote the development of hemp industry in Yunnan province.

At the signing ceremony, Chairman Gu Jingteng introduced the scale of the company, the research and development of CBD (cannabidiol) and the use of the products, saying that according to the requirements of building a world-class "Green Food Brand" in our province, Juzhang Biotechnology will cooperate around the establishment of hemp planting bases and R&D platforms in accordance with the relevant laws, regulations and policies of the country, and combine new agricultural technologies with traditional planting patterns, and cultivate germline to enhance the utilization value of hemp from the aspects of germplasm cultivation, deep extraction and utilization of biological components, research and development of final products and so on.
